Did cat trigger asthma attack?

I had my favorite neighborhood cat in my house today for about half an hour. I gave him lots of cuddles and played a game with him where he was chasing toy cars across the floor. I love this cat. However about an hour later after he had long gone and i had eaten my tea, i had what could only be described as an asthma attack. It came on suddenly and my chest went tight and i started coughing and wheezing. I had to use my sons blue inhaler a few times before it eased off. Is it possible it was caused by the cat? Ive had him in the house before but only for a few minutes that time. What do you think?
Thanks, i think i need to spend more time with the cat to see, as long as i have an inhaler handy. (I soo don’t want to be allergic to cats!)

Some people are allergic to cat fur, it may have caused it but i doubt it especially when you said you have had him in before.
See how things go when you have him in again. If it only happens after you have had the cat in then yes .
