asthma virginia

if i get a job will i lose my Medicare?
i have type 1 diabetes and asthma,i also take meds to prevent seizures and cant go without my prescriptions.im 18 years old and i live in west virginia.i really dont wanna sit at home and draw a check since im out of school(i didn’t graduate)…what should i do?
With what you have stated, I am assuming that you have medicare because of disability due to your health since you are obviously too young to qualify any other way. (Altho I wasn’t aware an 18 yr old that never worked qualified.)
I would not take anyone’s word as fact on here about this matter, because it is a serious one. I personally understand that because I too have Medicare, even tho I never use it, and I also know how important & expensive meds can be.
I will tell you that I know that Social Security has a program to encourage people to try to get back to work. Basic principal is that they allow you to try to return to a job and work for a certain number of months to see if you can handle it without risking your benefits. I haven’t heard or read that this has been stopped so I assume that it is still in effect as it is really the only fair way to encourage people to safely attempt return to working.
I am posting the link below so you can get the info. Check it out and see how it applies.
