asthma coughing

I have asthma. When I go to lay down I have a coughing fit and can not breathe. What should I do?

I have been to the emergency room twice in the last week for this. They keep giving me a prescription for Combivent, which is not working. I have missed a week of work now because I can’t even walk from one side of the house to the other without it wearing me out.

can you take steriods. prednisone is a good one you need to see your primary care doctor and start preventive medications. singulair is a good one that has helped me. i have also used azmacort and intal in the past.
